Local Bicycle Racks

This public bicycle rack was developed in conjunction with BiciCoop - Birmingham’s bicycle cooperative. The rack takes is shape from the bicycle frame profile, with an angle to match the down tube. The powder coating finish is smooth to protect the bicycles, but it also adds color to a rack, moving it away from standard street equipment to something that stands out.

The racks are bent and powder coated in the Birmingham area, hence the name Local Bicycle Racks. This project has been a wonderful opportunity to source and work closely with local manufacturing partners, as well as seeing a product design personally from start to finish.
